100% extra-long staple cotton. Fine twill weave, ivory.
Longer fibres mean fewer exposed ends in the yarn — a smoother surface, and a cloth that resists pilling where a shorter-staple cotton would roughen at the seat and inner thigh. The twill runs the yarn on a diagonal rather than a square grid, which is what gives it its lustre, its drape, and its willingness to take a centre crease and keep it.
High rise, double pleated, facing the pocket. Cut with room through the seat and thigh, tapering gently below the knee and finished with turn-ups, worn with no break.
