Care

YAEYAH cloth is built to age toward composure. The way you wash and store a set determines how it ages.

First wash — all cloth

Cold water, hand wash. Wash separately the first time. Mineral pigments are fixed but settle further in the first wash; expect a slight deepening of tone, not bleeding.

Ongoing care — cotton-linen and pure linen

Cold water, gentle machine cycle if necessary, but hand wash extends life. No bleach. Line dry in shade. Iron warm, on the reverse side, while still slightly damp.

Do not dry-clean. Solvent flattens the surface register we build into the cloth.

Storage

Hang shirts on broad-shoulder hangers — the dropped shoulder needs support. Fold trousers across the blind hem, not at the knee.

Long term

Cloth like ours rewards wear. The surface deepens, the drape settles, the silhouette reads more correct over time. Buy fewer, wear them into themselves.
