100% extra-long staple cotton. Plain weave, ecru.
Longer fibres mean fewer exposed ends in the yarn — a smoother surface, and a cloth that resists pilling where a shorter-staple cotton would roughen at the seat and inner thigh. A plain weave sits flatter and drier in the hand than a twill, which is what keeps a pale trouser looking matte rather than catching the light.
Single pleated. Cut straight through the leg with a slight taper below the knee, finished with a plain hem — no turn-ups. Belt loops, slant side pockets.
